Knit a cosy baby or children's cardigan with this versatile double knitting pattern featuring two classic styles: a hooded cardigan or a collared cardigan.
Perfect for babies, toddlers and young children, these comfortable button-front cardigans feature a simple stocking stitch body, raglan sleeves, ribbed cuffs and hem, and a choice of a practical knitted hood or traditional collar.
The original photographs show a baby blue hooded cardigan and a neutral oatmeal collared cardigan. Both styles can be knitted in your preferred colour using a suitable DK yarn.
Pattern Includes:
• Two cardigan styles: hooded or collared
• Six sizes: 0–6 months, 6–12 months, 1–2 years, 2–3 years, 4–5 years and 6–7 years
• To fit chest: 16–26 inches (41–66 cm)
• Finished chest: approximately 17¾–28 inches (45–71 cm)
• Long raglan sleeves
• Classic button-front fastening
• Stocking stitch body and sleeves
• Ribbed cuffs, hem and button bands
• Knitted hood with ribbed edging
• Alternative traditional knitted collar
• Separate buttonhole instructions for boys' and girls' cardigans

Materials Required:
• Double knitting (DK) yarn in your preferred colour
• Hooded cardigan: approximately 2–6 x 50g balls, depending on size
• Collared cardigan: approximately 2–5 x 50g balls, depending on size
• 3.25 mm and 4 mm knitting needles
• Stitch holder
• Jacket buttons: approximately 5–6, depending on size
Tension: 22 stitches and 28 rows over 10 cm (4 inches) in stocking stitch using 4 mm needles.
